Remote view and remote control are possible with the WOP client/server structure. The server drives the machine and holds large part of WOP functionality. The client runs on a custom-built touch screen panels and is also an HMI (Human Machine Interface). The user can interact with the real process (set some parameters or view the result). In the first release the client and the server communicate via TCP/IP. In the future more protocols will be possible (Blue Tooth etc.). The communication uses default RMI, but for time critical process a self-developed protocol has been used. New modules can be removed/added dynamically thus avoiding a total new installation.
