WinTouch 2000 is a real-time component based distributed system for operating a production plant through programmable logic controls (PLCs). The system replaces conventional operator panel with GUI-panel along with incorporating features of intelligent systems. The system enhances the control of the production plant with an emphasis on process visualization with an easy to use but catchy graphics. The system uses different types of error data for plant analysis with appropriate graphical preparation, status reports and control possibilities of connected controls, Interface of visualizing of circuit diagram documentation, production data display. The system is an object oriented client-server architectural solution, which facilitates major processing to be done in the server thread to make the client more dedicated to user interfacing only. The server is a multithreaded process, which makes it faster, and allow multi client to be connected to the server, without compromising in performance.
